Our Story
Cheerific was started in 2004 by part owner and Promo Team athlete, Tim Hydzik. The business has since expanded with the addition of his stunt partner and wife Mikie Hydzik who helped take Cheerific Canada wide.
"I used to film local cheerleading events on a picture camera and then upload them online for the Cheerific community.
In 2005, I was asked by an event host and good friend, Vanessa Wolfram, if I would be interested in providing a higher quality product on DVD for the athletes and spectators to purchase, and that's how it all got started.” - Tim Hydzik
Since then, Cheerific has grown from filming, to offering cheerleading apparel, event services, a performance team, instructional camps, clinics, webinars and now the CWCC!
The concept of hosting the Cheerific Western Cheer Challenge was created in early 2015, over a casual telephone conversation, once again between Vanessa and Tim. With the need for more competitions in our area we felt it was a great opportunity to provide a one of a kind event in Alberta, and Mikie was soon on board!
After many hours of prepping and planning, the CWCC was launched and has now become an incredibly popular event. We have shown a tremendous amount of growth with teams attending from all across western Canada.
We are incredibly excited to be hosting our biggest and best competition, yet! You won't want to miss it.
